Peace
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God.
—Jesus of Nazareth
Centuries ago, a man appeared on Onondaga Lake in a white stone boat. Arriving at the shore, he told hunters,
| "Peace is the desire of the Holder of Heavens. The word I bring is that all people shall love one another and live together in peace." |
Peace is the first requirement for Humanity's advancement. Abundance and Prosperity begin with Peace. Peace is the undying dream of every human soul. Our first lesson and final exam in life is to learn to live—and die—in Peace. For uncounted ages, divine messengers and spiritual teachers have appeared and taught "Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward Men."
Onondaga Lake is where Creator's messenger taught warriors to "bury the hatchet," planted The Tree of Peace, and imparted The Great Law of Peace to create a society where peace would prevail.
The Peacemaker knew Onondaga Lake is extra-ordinary—a sacred space—the place where peace can be made on Earth. Today, we can follow his example and go to Onondaga Lake to make peace between men and nations, and between Humanity and Nature. The Onondaga Lake Peace Festival is an opportunity for people of all faiths, nations and colors to pray for the Peace our planet so desperately needs.
